A digital audio processor (DSP) is the control center of a modern sound reinforcement system. It takes audio from microphones and other sources, applies processing, and sends optimized sound to amplifiers and speakers.
Key functions include echo cancellation for hybrid video calls, feedback suppression to stop annoying squeals, automatic mixing to balance multiple microphones, and automatic gain control to keep volume consistent as speakers move.
